JAAM's work is to make people aware about AIDS and HIV. They also work towards removing the fear that a lot of people seem to have regarding the transmission and effects of AIDS. We target our awareness programs towards the young college and school going crowd as they are the most vulnerable group ( Of the total number of cases, about 40-50% are in the age group of 15-23yrs.).

        Our programs include -

Knowledge about AIDS could avoid transmission of a deadlier disease..... UNTOUCHABILITY

The topics include - Introduction & Statistics, the medical angle, myths modes and protection, attitudes and finally the question time.               Freedom Foundation is a HIV / AIDS care center off Hennur Road near Banasvadi, Bangalore. There are a number of people of different age groups and at different stages of AIDS living here. JAAM helps in raising funds for them as it is a non-funded organization. We also help by giving them clothes and medicines. In our sessions we mention Freedom Foundation and encourage the students to go and interact with the people there and to help them in any way they can.
